The Association for Negombo International Children’s Education or commonly referred to as NICE International school is a non-profit organization which was founded by a group of likeminded expatriates as a house of learning for their Children in the year 1988.
Over the years NICE has developed to be a forerunner as one of the leading education providers in Negombo which now caters to both foreign and Sri Lankan students from pre-school to advanced level aged between 2 to 19 years old.
The school management is handled by the 5-member board of directors who are appointed by the association members at an Annual General Meeting. The Association members consist of parents who share the common goal of serving the school to excel into greater heights.
The school is nestled in lush greenery in a secluded, safe and secure environment and homes a community of free-minded learners that are encouraged to achieve self-empowerment through secular but moral and cultural values, while leaning towards the Western culture. We aim to develop a well- rounded confident student with high level of knowledge, skills and attitudes who will be a true asset to the challenging future world order.
The school also adheres to a firm anti-bullying policy which includes awareness, education and making available suitable communication channels to practice ZERO tolerance against bullying.
Our students follow the British National Curriculum up to lower secondary school (Year 1 to Year 9) and the Edexcel Curriculum for the secondary grades (Year 10 to Year 13) with the help of a qualified, friendly and approachable teaching faculty. The constant utilization of smart classrooms, project-based learning and self-expression is the driving power of our teaching and learning process.
In a nutshell, NICE is a true international learning experience that brings a world together within a small and homely place that our students and staff call a second home.
